An inspection of Wat Phra Bat Namphu and its four-story Mettatham Building has revealed that each floor is in a dilapidated and unused condition. According to the temple, the building was once used to house patients, but monkeys encroached and caused extensive damage, forcing the relocation of all patients. The building has since been left in a state of disrepair. The temple is now reportedly addressing the issue, which has recently drawn public attention.
